  [Declined] Xife - MM Hunter

Personal Information

Name: Nikki

Age: 25

Nationality: Israeli

Battletag: Funky#22297

Tell us a little bit about yourself, who are you, what do you do etc.
So I'm Nikki, been living in Israel most of my life. My 2 top hobbies were always video games and music, I play the bass guitar since 14 years old and I had a pretty big band here in Israel (if anyone would like I can send few links ^^). My first game ever was Warcraft 2 and since then I fell in love with the franchise, after WoW came out I was hooked and started playing it in 2005. Until today it's my favorite game by far =)

Character Information

Name: Xife

Class: Hunter

Armory:
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/the-maelstrom/xife (hunter)
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/the-maelstrom/naiker (old ret)

Mainspec (artifact traits): Marksmanship, 75 (close to 76)

Offspec (artifact traits): BM (didn't have time to invest on it too much since I always liked MM more, but if needed I can get it to 75 in no time)

Why do you play this class and role?
I've been playing hunter since tbc, it's always been my favorite class. I find myself very comfortable with it and I enjoy it the most.

Explain your reasoning behind your character choices (why did you pick your current talents and what gearing/stat priority do you go for)
I always make sure to be up to date even in the beta testing, I always check the class discord/icy veins guides and make sure to be in touch with other mythic lvl hunters.
Regarding the talents, gear and stats I make sure to sim myself every time I get a new piece of gear.

Give us some examples of how your class and/or talent choices makes you more valuable on specific encounters.
For example on high command fight, the adds there cannot be cc'd or stunned, but they can be knocked back with bursting shot, this is useful to put them in melee range to add more cleave dmg.
On garothi I can soak alone with aspect of the turtle.
Wyvern Sting/Binding Shot is useful on adds in the coven fight.
Can give more examples if needed.

Raiding

Tell us a little bit about your raiding experience:
I loved raiding since the end of vanilla, but I really started doing hc raiding in wotlk.
In the recent expansion I played mostly ret paladin and did mythic raiding mostly with him, did 7/9 tos mythic with him but then had to take a break due to military service.

What makes you a valuable asset to a raiding team?
I know how to keep calm during high pressure situations (I've been an ambulance driver in the military, know a thing or two about staying calm hehe).
Always make sure to be positive and try to raise moral when needed.

What steps do you take to ensure you play your class to the full extent of its capabilities?
As I've mentioned above I sim myself regularly, I tend to stay in touch with other skilled hunters, and I always make sure to test things myself.

What will your attendance be, can we rely on you to be there for progression? Are there any factors that may impede you to attend that we should know about?
I've seen the raiding days and they suit me. I can attend them without any problems.
If any emergency comes up I'll always make sure to let you know few days in advance like normal people should do.

Are you familiar with being in a Mythic raiding guild and the environment. Are you familiar with rotating people and ”benching”’. What are your thoughts on this?
It's a normal thing and I have no problems with it.

Please provide logs showing your competence as a player. If you don’t have any logs, please explain why.
https://www.warcraftlogs.com/character/e...rom/naiker
Please note that this is my old ret which I was playing mostly this expansion, I switched to hunter as my main now.
Most of my logs are from tos/nh mythic

Miscellaneous

Do you have a functioning microphone?
Yes
Are you familiar using Teamspeak?
Yes
Why do you wish to join Aetherium?
I've been in contact with Diamma and he seemed super nice, I did a few mythic+ with a warlock called meatboi, I had really good vibes from both of them and I really liked what I've seen in your website.
How did you come across our Guild?
I've met Diamma and I was wondering if you guys are recruiting

Last but not least

Why should we be accepting you to the guild? What makes you a better investment than other applicants? Sell yourself to us.
I'm super nice to people who are nice to me. I always make sure to try and help those who are in need, if it's weekly m+ or whatever (I have plenty of boosting experience).
I'm very chill and can make you laugh with my dirty mind ^_^

Personal Information

Name: Sam

Age: 20

Nationality: UK

Battletag: Gehennaaaa#2853

Tell us a little bit about yourself, who are you, what do you do etc.
From Wales, UK. Currently unemployed so I have a lot of free time for my hobbies.
Outside of WoW, I play guitar and go to the gym.

Character Information

Name: Meatboi (Subject to change)

Class: Warlock

Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/charac...om/meatboi

Mainspec (artifact traits): Affliction - 80 Traits

Offspec (artifact traits): Demonology - 73 Traits

Why do you play this class and role?
Big fan of the class fantasy of Warlock. And never being able to die is a bonus.

Explain your reasoning behind your character choices (why did you pick your current talents and what gearing/stat priority do you go for)
My talents vary on what content I'm doing; Mythic+? I'll opt for a more AoE oriented spec etc. My stat priority depends on my stat weights of course.

Give us some examples of how your class and/or talent choices makes you more valuable on specific encounters.
Affliction is the God of 2+ Target cleave fights (Doggos, Coven) and is super solid on Single Target fights also.

Raiding

Tell us a little bit about your raiding experience:
Only raided mythic for a short while in the guild Replicant (5/11M) which sadly disbanded a few days ago.

What makes you a valuable asset to a raiding team?
100% Punctuality. Will perform solid no matter what. Friendly and will voice opinions when needed.

What steps do you take to ensure you play your class to the full extent of its capabilities?
Make sure I use the correct talents/legendaries for the certain fight. And hit my buttons in the correct order.

What will your attendance be, can we rely on you to be there for progression? Are there any factors that may impede you to attend that we should know about?
As mentioned from above, I'll have 100% attendance. Unless of course, family emergencies occur or I'm severely sick.

Are you familiar with being in a Mythic raiding guild and the environment. Are you familiar with rotating people and ”benching”’. What are your thoughts on this?
Mythic raiding environment can get a bit on edge at times but it's expected. I agree that benching has to be done to ensure that the raid group has an optimal set-up required for a boss encounter.

Please provide logs showing your competence as a player. If you don’t have any logs, please explain why.

Miscellaneous

Do you have a functioning microphone? Yes

Are you familiar using Teamspeak? Yes

Why do you wish to join Aetherium? Old guild <Replicant> got disbanded a few days a go. And despite that I still want to carry on with my Mythic progress.

How did you come across our Guild? My old GM (Gorantia) got in touch with some of your officers and said that if we're interested in joining Aetherium we should sign up.

Last but not least

Why should we be accepting you to the guild? What makes you a better investment than other applicants? Sell yourself to us.
Lover of memes, Hoarder of E-girls. If you accept me, I can make your hole weak Smile
On a serious note. I have a lot of time to make sure my character(s) are up to a very high standard.

Hey guys!
My name is James Lowndes, I am a Student at Birmingham University in my 3rd year studying Sport Science. I own my own freelance S&C company and enjoy Rugby and Ice Hockey. While I'm not active and want to chill I enjoy gaming (Obviously Tongue

Character Information

Name: Mystikk

Class: Retribution

Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/charac...rn/mystikk

Mainspec (artifact traits): 76

Offspec (artifact traits):

Why do you play this class and role?
I enjoy the control and survivability of a retridin, while it offers a simple, yet constructive dps stile that allows for strong burst dps and a solid single target with high sustain.

Explain your reasoning behind your character choices (why did you pick your current talents and what gearing/stat priority do you go for)
My character choices are as follows:
BiS Legendaries, with options of Belt or Cloak depending on fight (With ring being very valuable in current patch)
My relics are lower on item level but have BiS crucible traits
I am above my hard cap on Haste (31.25% to allow for the 8 second window of Judgement to be up 100% of the time)
Mastery is very strong now with the damage from Greater Judgement so having as much as possible is also a benefit

Give us some examples of how your class and/or talent choices makes you more valuable on specific encounters.
Mythic Encounters:
Having a Bubble soak is always useful for certain abilities or one shot mechanics that would otherwise kill me and/or multiples
PK - Wake of Ashes for adds (with Blinding Light talent for AoE interupt)
Kings/Wisdom - For healers and Tanks
BoP - When needed for high damage situations

Raiding

Tell us a little bit about your raiding experience:
I raided full time back in WotLK and CATA being very successful in world top 50 guilds but due to real life commitments had to step down from hardcore raiding as I got older. Came back to the game properly just back at ToS, managed to raid Mythic for both tiers so far, getting 4/9M ToS and 4/11M Antorus. I was the raidleader for my guild in Antorus, giving me valuable knowledge for the whole raid, forming strats for everything up to Argus on M.

What makes you a valuable asset to a raiding team?
I come prepared with knowledge of all fights on Mythic, I am calm and always looking to improve.

What steps do you take to ensure you play your class to the full extent of its capabilities?
I spend time simming my character to always improve from gearsets and theory crafting new gear and ideas for optimal dps. I keep up with current forums and speak with other paladins to share knowledge.

What will your attendance be, can we rely on you to be there for progression? Are there any factors that may impede you to attend that we should know about?
Unless told otherwise to to RL plans (Holidays and such) I will have 100% attendance on your raiddays

Are you familiar with being in a Mythic raiding guild and the environment. Are you familiar with rotating people and ”benching”’. What are your thoughts on this?
I ran a mythic guild for sometime.. not only am I familiar with it.. I ran it haha

Personal Information

Name: Maximilian (shortly Max)

Age: 28

Nationality: german

About myself (as a World of Warcraft player):
I am currently studying IT-Business (don't realy know the exact translation). I am playing World of Warcraft since Mai 2005. I played every raiding content so far more or less progress oriented, depends on my own activity over the years. I made some rare pauses to the game for multiple reasons. I always played Healing-Classes as my Main-Charackters. The most time I played on Restoration-Shaman and Priest except MoP, here I mainly played Mage (having Heal Priest/Shaman as alts).

At the moment I am an active player and I am part of an World Top 300 raiding-Guild (currently not in the active Raid-Roster). What I am mostly looking for is a Guild with nice and fun people and interessts in Raiding and Mythic+ Dungeons. In my current Guild as a community-Member I am happy so far but I would like to improve my Game-Experience by beeing an active Raid-Healer, if not now than at the latest with the Launch of Battle for Azeroth. The reason I am leaving my current Guild is that Priests in their Raiding-Roster are to much, they even have more then needed Priests in their alt-roster and therefore it seems i would never have a real chance to become an active Raid-Healer in their roster. I would like to join you and make great connection to your community by using my Charackter boost instead of immediatly transfer my current Main-Priest. So more or less I apply for the Future of your Roster.

Charackter Information (Current Main)

Name: Qyzme

Class: Priest

Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/charac...oore/qyzme

Mainspec (artifact traits): Discipline (75)

Offspec (artifact traits): Shadow (75), Holy (74)

Why do I play my Class and Role:
This is verry easy to be explained. I love the Discipline-Playstyle the most in the Game. Discipline-Priests are an rare specilization what makes it even more interessting. I have always the feeling as Discipline-Priest that I can handle situations verry well but always could improve my skills. I also love that Discs are more an pre-active Healer instead of reactive. The more I know about the environment the better I can use my abilities and skills to keep the Raid or Dungeon-Party alive, what makes the Class even more interessting. Their is no other Class or Specc around yet, i feel so in love with it.

The reason behind my talent-choices:
Well in armory you would mostly see my go for Talents for Mythic+ or Soloing through World-Quests. Talent choices as Discipline-Priest highly depend on the Encounter and the Role I have to fill. Discpline Priest can be verry efficient in Burst-Healing Situations for the whole raid, preventing crucial Raid-Wide Damage and also he can be an Overall raid-wide heal support or if the Encounter is going to splitt the Raid into smaller Groups he could be a great Healer aswell. For every of those situations I need to change my Talents in order to bring the best performance. That also means that you wouldnt see me always as the #1 Healer in numbers, but #1 numbers doesn't even kill the Boss.

Raiding

Well i don't realy know what to say about my raiding-experience, so I will talk a little bit about my experience in Legion.

As I started raiding in a progress oriented Guild as Discipline-Priest imediatly after launch, I didn't make great experience with the World of Warcraft Community. Most Raid-Leads didn't realy know how the Disc-Priest works as Healer an by that I always have been out-of-mana after my Bursting-Phase and got no regeneration support by the Raid, therefore my numbers in overall healing always have been bad. After some troubles here and there and switching arround Classes (Restoration Shaman/Demonhunter Tank/DD) I finaly switched back to my Discipline-Priest and never expect to change it again.
The overall experience I made in Legion specifically in Raids is that the most "mid-progress" raids haven't the same motivation as I have. Therefore, they don't be arround punctual or aren't prepared enough ''missing flasks/food/etc.''. And last but not least, the Raid-Leads I met so far haven't been open in anyway to criticism or ideas, what makes raiding verry painful tbh. I by myself, always be happy about criticism or ideas how to improve my skills and the progress for my team. For me, criticism is a verry great tool to improve. At the End I made it to my current Guild as a Community-Member and stoped real progress-oriented raiding.

To ensure I play my Class to the full extent of its capabilities: Love, Discipline and the will to always improve! Reading guide's, looking streams, evaluate other Disc-Priests combatlogs. I use everything I can get to improve my skills.

In my overall career I made loads of experience with high-end content raiding, benching, line-ups and rosters and i feel verry familiar with how it works. I don't mind beeing on the bench sometimes, cause every encounter could need a different line-up where my class/spec doesn't fit well, better for the Raid is also better for me!

If I am not wrong those are my current logs (they are not great tbh, I know that) https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/ch...890/latest
The reason they aren't great, I realy didn't put any work in them or care about them as a Community-Member. At least my experience with logs is, most of the people or wanna be raid-leads: they're looking for rankings, end of story.
Those for EN: https://www.warcraftlogs.com/rankings/ch...metric=hps
Hopefuly you can see everything in the links above.

Miscellaneous

Sure I have a functionning Microphone, how should I VoIP with people if I wouldn't have? Angel Big Grin
Yes I am familiar with Teamspeak and Discord or what ever you prefer to use.

The most interesting question: Why do I want to join Aetherium.
I've already written a lot, taking a lot of time, I'll try to keep it short. Your self-presentation giving me the feeling you are not only interested in that one Pro-Player that offers your further progress the most value. You're also looking for Great and Nice People to play and Enjoy the, if they are further more a great valuable player for your Roster its nearly perfect for that what you seek for. Also for me as a german, i can improve my english a lot with you. (I played LoL in a Scottisch/Englisch Team, so I guess communication wouldn't be a crucial problem).
I came across your guild by using wowprogress.com.

Selling myself! Big Grin

I am dedicated to my class, disciplined and focused. I always want to improve to bring the best value to my Team. You can always count on me!
With me I bring a greatious great ball of fire, to have fun and dance arround it Big Grin
I have an respectful attitude and always be friendly to everyone, even if its the worst player in the world, I don't care the skiils, I care the person!
I bring a lot of fun and harmonie to your community and an always motivated and disciplined Teamplayer!

Thank you for taking time to read my application, hopefuly it isnt the worst english you have ever read and everything is clear and understandable to you.
Best Regards
Qyzme

31 old guy living and working in UK atm, love to play games (not just wow), i love motorcycle all kinds Big Grin
Many years in breakdancing community, dancing is my passion... Thats about it in short.

Character Information

Name: Karazorel

Class: Priest

Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/character/the-maelstrom/karazorel

Mainspec (artifact traits): 75

Offspec (artifact traits): 75

Why do you play this class and role?

I just love priest, playing it from end of TBC. My role was always healing i dont know why but healing is my way of playing in raid, but atm im shadow main with good holy gear ready for anything
I want to get back on track and be healer main again.

Explain your reasoning behind your character choices (why did you pick your current talents and what gearing/stat priority do you go for)
Lets start with talents what i use:
Tier1:
Enlightenment is way to go atm, little boost to get extra mana back is good.

Tier2:
Angelic Feather good mobility talent for myself and others

Tier3:
After life if i die i go in style for everyone to see me xD im jk, good talent idd if u die and need to pull that extra few sec and healing.

Tier4:
Im useing mostly Light of the Naaru to get faster to my holy word spells, Symbole of Hope could be used in some situation when we need spam a lot for free
its long cd... light of the naaru is way to go

Tier5:
Piety again way to go talent, reducing PoM what i use on cd and reduce HW:S ... other 2 cant play against this one

Tier6:
Divinity 15% increase healing, very easy to trigger it. Best talent by far in this tier

Tier7:
Benediction i take it beause its passive use is very good, and considering im casting PoM all the time. Best way to go

Gear:
I have 2 set lets say, one is pure t21 what is my best ilvl and other what is best to use atm is 4 piece t20 with 2 piece tier21.
So why i use this 4+2, because its much better bonus set and until i got some higher ilvl t21 this is way to go.

Stats:
Im trying to put my mastery around 45% then i go haste a bit from 15% to 20% then all crit.
Atm i have with full t21 M 48% H 18% C 38%
and with other set M 48% H 18% C 34% ... almost the same
I didnt mention my intelect like main thing

Give us some examples of how your class and/or talent choices makes you more valuable on specific encounters.

I would say we are realy good healers (strong ones) on aoe fight with not many moving, yeah we dont have so much moving spells but again we have few instant heals.
Encounters with constant dmg on all players is good for holy priest, jumping PoM and lots of aoe healings is good to keep raid steady.
I would say, every encounter is one way good for holy priest, like i said speciality aoe fights!

Raiding

Tell us a little bit about your raiding experience:

I have lot of exp in raiding over many years i play i will just mention current expansion before any new raid out/patch:
Emerald Nightmare Mythic 7/7
Trail of Valor Mythic 1/3
Nighthold Mythic 8/10
Tomb Mythic 5/9 (our guild went into troubles, what ended guild)
Antorus Mythic 4/11

What makes you a valuable asset to a raiding team?
i know how to listen others and will always take negative and possitive feedback from ppl,
healping guild to keep up killing bosses with my healing is nice,

What steps do you take to ensure you play your class to the full extent of its capabilities?
Mostly threads and forums around, watching videos, reading guides and eventualy speaking with ppl to make more of it

What will your attendance be, can we rely on you to be there for progression? Are there any factors that may impede you to attend that we should know about?
Yes my attendance would be close to 100%, i would not say 100% because i never know what will happen in future and i might miss raid because of some irl job things or any other serious irl issues. But yes im applaying cause i can attend raids

Are you familiar with being in a Mythic raiding guild and the environment. Are you familiar with rotating people and ”benching”’. What are your thoughts on this?
Yes im familiar with benching, for me benching is normal thing to do as long everything is keept in normal/fair way to everyone

Please provide logs showing your competence as a player. If you don’t have any logs, please explain why.
I cant provide any log, because i dont have them... i dont have healing, because im atm main shadow

Miscellaneous

Do you have a functioning microphone?
Yes

Are you familiar using Teamspeak?
Yes I'm

Why do you wish to join Aetherium?
You have nice progress and what is very important 2days raid is what i like and you need healer as i see it, and raiding time is almost perfect for me!

How did you come across our Guild?
wowprogress

Last but not least

Why should we be accepting you to the guild? What makes you a better investment than other applicants? Sell yourself to us.

the only think i would say that i'm open minded and rly ambitous. i'm not rly good at talking about myslef so i would just say better to find out who and how i am while talking and raiding.

Why do you play this class and role?   -well as i started at the end of draenor i couldnt find out what healer i could play else, but its a lot of fun and i love the way how my master works and that i can support other healers with my big hymn and supporting in killing bosses in general.

Explain your reasoning behind your character choices (why did you pick your current talents and what gearing/stat priority do you go for)

1Tier : Enlightnement - it juts the best choise i can make , cause most of the fights are very long and to have more mana at the whole fight is never a bad choise espacially for raidhealing

2.Tier : Angelic feathers - makes myself more mobile and gives me the oppotunity to help others to to get away or even fast back to the spot they should be

3.Tier: Afterlife - makes me heal a lot more cause there could be situiation like i have no mana anymore ( what should not rly happen when everything goes how it shoud be )and have to kill myself on purpose i can just heal for much longer in my spirit form . and the other talents are juts not relevant in at all in raids

4.Tier: Light of the naaru - place a big role in my healing and is a good combination to my t20 set i still have to farm. it just makes the use of my holy words a lot smoother

5.Tier: Binding Heal(atm) - its rly worth using it manawise. the most healing with less manausage
Piety - would be a good choice to if i would be more comfotatble with my manausage, cause most of my healing comes from renew and my prayer of mending                      just gets renew on target without even doting targets ( with a talents that i will mention later)

6.Tier: Divinity : cause i use my holy word real often and having a 15% healing increase is juts a rly strong choise

7.Tier: Benediction : juts is the talent i choose , cause it cause prayer of mendung by jumping to the next target maybe leaving a renew on the target which happens quite often                and alows me to keep it on the tanks at all time. and with my bis traits on the relics, that i have a 42% chance that prayer of mending doesnt consume one charge, its rly              the choise to go, cause aoe dmg is just happening in most of the fights

intellect is priority for me, so most of the gear i get in heigher ilvl are just better than the once lower with perfect stats. but i need to keep i mind to have at least 17% haste and max of 20% ( but regularing this with my rings ), my mastery is on 47 % now which is fine and i aim for atleast having my crit above 35% which makes my mastery even better.

but basically i aim for crit/mastery items and correct my stats with rings

i'm also still using 4 set of tos and trying to pug this raid every week if possible  to upgrade the pieces. and to that the 2 set of antorus

Give us some examples of how your class and/or talent choices makes you more valuable on specific encounters.

holy priest are pretty strong in terms of aoe dmg fight, cause if the benediction talent, divinity and my trait in my weapon that after using my holy word: sanctify my prayer of healing heal is increased by some %,  and also on single target healing with the big single target heals as Holy word: serenity .
most valubale are holy priest with not much movement required, cause we dont have much spells we can use while running around and not beeing able to stand still.

Raiding

Tell us a little bit about your raiding experience: - i started raiding and really playing this game with the start of legion, but started raiding mythic in middle of nighthold
 nighthold : 5/10 m
 tos. 6/9 m
 antorus: 3/11 m

What makes you a valuable asset to a raiding team? - i'm sticking to the tacts my guild is telling me how its the best and trying to give my best to support my team in killing bosses

What steps do you take to ensure you play your class to the full extent of its capabilities? -i'm reading alot of guides and learing from my logs to make things go better with my healing . also contacting other holy priest in the rankings to get some information how to get better and answering my questions about stats and how to heal with specific combs of healers

What will your attendance be, can we rely on you to be there for progression? Are there any factors that may impede you to attend that we should know about? - my attendence was alwas good since i started raiding. and since i got a laptop i can still raid while beeing on the road somewhere Smile

Are you familiar with being in a Mythic raiding guild and the environment. Are you familiar with rotating people and ”benching”’. What are your thoughts on this? - well its never nice to get benched, but i understand the fact that we're still human and you cant be there everytime or if something happens you just need replacments . but i also had the experience of ppl getting benched every raid and feeling betrayed and noone is giving them information if they ever get raiding again or not. but basically i have not rly a problem with that , just when i'm a trial and fear to not get taken, i feel a bit akward about beeing benched eventho it just might be the comb you wanna run some bosses.

i have to say they are not good but still looking forward to get better

Miscellaneous

Do you have a functioning microphone? . yes. i have

Are you familiar using Teamspeak? -yes

Why do you wish to join Aetherium? -i want to join cause of some issues i have with my current guild. and just aim to get better in this game and thats not gonna happen if ppl are not taking raiding serious , cause no matter how good to trying to play with too many ppl just dont give a fuck there is no point anymore trying to carry some boosted animals and thats not teamwork anymore. and not even officers or the gm is doing anythign against these ppl even if the get calles out every raid they are still there.

How did you come across our Guild? - the gm added me and offered me to apply to this guild

Last but not least

Why should we be accepting you to the guild? What makes you a better investment than other applicants? Sell yourself to us.

i'm someone loving to follow leads. i'm doing my best to fullfill their wishes and not be the weakest player in the group . aiming for even beeing the best if i can manage that . i'm very ambitious, a really good teamplayer and hate drama all the way, which i had to experience way to often -.- i'm open for comment on my healing and how to make it better. i even would appriciate that a lot.

i hope you liked my application . never had to write that much and my english is maybe not the best.

Tell us a little bit about yourself, who are you, what do you do etc.

Hi everyone ! Happy new year to the crew, I am Juliette a 20 yo frenchie and I am currently stuying English and languages in Lyon. I can describe myself as an open-minded person (I guess), I like chatting with people about various subjects. In my free time I'm very interested in occultism, travels, films, singing/music, symbolism, writing and so on.. I'm very open to criticism and learning new things. I can be talkative but I am quite shy at the begining, I always do my best and when I don't succeed I often get angry about myself :p Rather calm and attentive, honesty and respect are qualities that are necessary to me.

Offspec (artifact traits):

Why do you play this class and role?
I love the mobility of this class, the BM spec is (not surprisingly) because I like having an animal by my side (rp reason haha). I always played BM hunter and the gameplay really fits me, I never get bored and it provides me much fun which is, to me, very important in a game like wow.

Explain your reasoning behind your character choices (why did you pick your current talents and what gearing/stat priority do you go for)
I try to gather information to pick my talents and stuff that's why I use Simcraft/Raidbots and the rankings from wowprogress as long as the IcyVeins guide written by Azortharion who seems to be pretty reliable. It gives me an idea of what to play with. I change talents wether I play MM+ or Raid and also depending on the affixes or bosses. I go for the Zoo Build which is based on Crit then Mastery then Haste. I have all my legendaries and I often change to try new gearsets but I'm more than open to suggestions and advices.

Give us some examples of how your class and/or talent choices makes you more valuable on specific encounters.
Well, BM has always been a valuable class on bosses where soaking is needed due to my turtle ability, I also benefit from a high mobility which allows me to move on adds or to avoid AoE easily. On KJ it was pretty nice to have a hunter for the soaking and for the humanoïd tracking (Illidan can't hide anymore hehehe). Same for Gul'dan. It's also useful because of the hybrid build I can make, having both AoE and mono spells. My class have cs, a mass stun and traps which are importants as well (for example Aggramar, Norgannon pops on the Coven or MM+).  I also have a brez and bl pet Big Grin

Raiding

Tell us a little bit about your raiding experience:
Well I started raiding a year ago with my first casual guild, nevertheless I discovered the game at Vanilla but was too Young to raid. So I cleaned the content of Legion but not in the Mythic mode except for the Emerald Nightmare and some bosses of the Nighthold.

What makes you a valuable asset to a raiding team?
As I don't have many experience, my assets rely on my ability to learn and Watch. I am eager to improve myself and I think that my amount of knowledges of my class is satisfying eventhough I still think there's always things that I can learn !! I know when to be focused and when I am, I take things seriously so I can do my best for the team. I don't want to penalise the raid that's why I always look at the strats before or ask questions when I don't understand (which can often happens :p)

What steps do you take to ensure you play your class to the full extent of its capabilities?
As I said, I use Simcraft or Raidbot as long as the IcyVeins Guide + the BM Discord where I talk with players who master their classes very well. I also look at the logs when they are recorded and also the Wowprogress rankings  for each bosses and sometimes the gear of the best players to give me a quick comparison.

What will your attendance be, can we rely on you to be there for progression? Are there any factors that may impede you to attend that we should know about?
I am a student which gives me many time and makes me flexible. Still, I don't know my timetable for the next semester (starting in february) but I can't have class after 8pm, that +15 min to come home so there will be two evenings where I can't be online before 8:15 pm.

Are you familiar with being in a Mythic raiding guild and the environment. Are you familiar with rotating people and ”benching”’. What are your thoughts on this?
Nope. Clearly I am not familiar with this environment, I come from a Casual guild but I am aware of the difficulty of the mythic mode and the fact that every mistake is severely punished by the mechanics. I don't mind to be benched as long as I can still raid every week. I don't ask for a PL, I will perfectly understand if I don't have the level requested that's why I am asking to raid every week, but not necessarily in MM. I think that HM mode and time played is always a good thing to take even if I want to improve myself in MM. Of course, my aim is to kick asses in a good atmosphere (<-- very important) and I'm ready to work for this !

Please provide logs showing your competence as a player. If you don’t have any logs, please explain why.
I know that my logs aren't good enough, there's some information missing (Where are my legendary perfs on NH ?!) . You have to know that I "stopped" playing around 3 weeks ago because of exams, guild "problems" and Christmas and I always kept my ID to raid on guild which explains why I don't have multiple kills and better performance. I did the Antorus HM (Aggramar kill is still missing but I tried it) in Pick Up  group which wasn't very easy eventhough I spent a lot of time in it. The positive side of spending desperate hours wiping is that I had time to practice and get used to the strats :p

Miscellaneous

Do you have a functioning microphone?
Yes !

Are you familiar using Teamspeak?
"Familiar" may be a bit strong :p I have it and I used it before so I know the basics of TS but I am like a 90 years old person when talking about informatic and stuff so don't ask me too much, or explain me :p

Why do you wish to join Aetherium?
I think that the spirit of your guild fits with mine. After a talk with Cyrane, I understood that you have a priority over the person and this is the very first thing I am looking for : nice persons to play with. I don't want a guild with toxic players and to feel comfortable and motivated I need mature and respectful persons. Cyrane also talked about your more serious side which I appreciate and think that it's highly needed especially when going through the MM.

How did you come across our Guild?
On Wowprogress Smile

Last but not least

Why should we be accepting you to the guild? What makes you a better investment than other applicants? Sell yourself to us.
I'm not very good at selling myself, but at least I'll be honest to you : I am lower than you. I may also fail and do wtf actions but there's a thing that will never change : my motivation. You may not rely on my DPS or survavibility but my motivation and good will can't vanish. I always do my best because a guild is a team, and I can't tolerate to slack because it will penalise my mates. It's a teamwork and every failure or mistake is a source of improvement for me. I want to go further and I know that I can with time and explanations. I'm not afraid to question myself and I surely don't think I am the best player in the world (which helps a lot ! :p). I have learned many things (basically everything I know xD) over the year I spent with my guild and since they decided to switch server I decided to look for a guild where I can progress more and with fun Smile

Hope you enjoyed my presentation, I tried to be as clear as possible so that you will not be deceived if I join you ! Thank you very much for the time taken, see you soon maybe ! Smile

  [Declined] Elbanis - Restoration Druid
Posted by: Elboobies - 05-01-2018, 10:04 PM - Forum: Applications - Replies (2)

Personal Information

Name: Rosemary

Age: 24

Nationality: British/Irish

Battletag: Elbanis1993#2708

Tell us a little bit about yourself, who are you, what do you do etc.

I am a 24 year old from the UK, been playing WoW for number of years. I have a dachshund (sausage dog) puppy I will share pictures of if accepted. Also play a bit of League and PUBG.

Character Information

Name: Elbanis

Class: Dudu

Armory: https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-gb/charac...ne/elbanis

Mainspec (artifact traits): 78

Offspec (artifact traits): 64

Why do you play this class and role?

Started playing a druid back in Vanilla, and mostly spent time healing dungeons (although never reached max level). I came back in WotLK and initially played mage, before levelling a druid to max level and trying that out. I enjoyed the playstyle so have been playing it as my main ever since.

Explain your reasoning behind your character choices (why did you pick your current talents and what gearing/stat priority do you go for)

Talents

15 - CW - huge tank healing, extended by flourish.
30 - Displacer beast. Very useful for the increased mobility. In some cases may pick renewal or wild charge if the encounter needs it.
45 - Guardian Affinity by default, since there is less opportunity for cat weaving in raids. Balance affinity in some cases where the encounter area is particularly large.
60 - Doesn't really matter. Mass entanglement for adds on coven.
75 - Generally will use cultivation. In very specific fights I may choose ToL (e,g Vari)
90 - Spring Blossoms or Germination, depending on the amount we are stacked up in the fight, how much we are moving around, how much spot damage there is, etc.
100 - Flourish. Its just too strong compared to the other choices.

Stats

I use Torty's spreadsheet (from the Dreamgrove) as well as the resto druid statweight weak aura addon to track stat weights, since these depend on fight.

Give us some examples of how your class and/or talent choices makes you more valuable on specific encounters.

There are only a handful of specific encounters I would say we have a specific role which many other healers can't fill. Aside from this, druids are very versatile healers, being able to soak large amounts of damage (Barkskin, bear form) and able to move around very quickly (Displacer beast, dash).

Aggramar - Can root adds
Coven - Can mass root the wall of adds

Raiding

Tell us a little bit about your raiding experience:

I'll focus mostly on my legion experience, since I think that is most relevant. I didn't really join any significant guilds prior to Legion but did progress raid in Cataclysm/Pandaria.
In legion;

Since I came back after a break of raiding in MoP, I didn't have any stable guilds. Raided in a few guilds before joining;

Scrubz - Raided Nighthold Mythic from the start. We were around 200-300 rank in the world.

Scrubz then died (RIP) after a lot of drama, people leaving, etc. Eventually we called it quits and I joined BBC News.

BBC News - Raided for a while here, they were a top 100 guild but were adding too many additional raids. I wanted to raid slightly less and had a friend from Scrubz (the guild master) ask me to join Security. Security raided much less (3x a week) and people in BBC News didn't play much outside of raids, so I decided to go there.

Security - Raided here for a while, killed Gul'Dan (they were top 50 at the time). Their other druid quit as did my friend from Scrubz. At this stage I was moving houses so decided to give WoW a bit of a break.

Now - Guildless, sad times.

What makes you a valuable asset to a raiding team?

I have a lot of experience from a number of top tier guilds, and can play my class to a very high level. Also willing to accept criticism and have a bit of a laugh when playing the game.

What steps do you take to ensure you play your class to the full extent of its capabilities?

I keep up to date on the latest news on mmo-champion, actively check the druid forums and also keep updated on the druid discord (the Dreamgrove).

What will your attendance be, can we rely on you to be there for progression? Are there any factors that may impede you to attend that we should know about?

Full attendance

Are you familiar with being in a Mythic raiding guild and the environment. Are you familiar with rotating people and ”benching”’. What are your thoughts on this?

Yes.

Unbench the kench.

Please provide logs showing your competence as a player. If you don’t have any logs, please explain why.

I only have logs from heroic this tier;

I am a heroic log

Here are some logs from NH;

Mystical Raider Logs NH

Miscellaneous

Do you have a functioning microphone?

Yes

Are you familiar using Teamspeak?

What is a Teamspeak

Why do you wish to join Aetherium?

At the minute I don't really know too much about your guild. Officers seemed helpful, but mostly - you guys have good progress for being a 2 night raiding guild. I'm down for that shizzle.

How did you come across our Guild?

I went on wowprogress and looked for guilds that were looking for a resto druid. There are surprisingly few.

Last but not least

Why should we be accepting you to the guild? What makes you a better investment than other applicants? Sell yourself to us.

I think I bring a plethora of raiding experience to the guild but I am also pretty relaxed in raids. I don't rage, I don't spit the dummy out, I just do my job and get along with it. I'm also always up for doing things outside of raids, such as swapping doggo pictures, running it down mid in League or doing some swanky M+ keys.

Thanks for reading my app.
